Summary of Skills and Qualifications

Clientele
I offer psychotherapy to both younger and older adults struggling with a wide range of obstacles, children and adolescents ages 0-18, foster children, as well as new parents and their infants.
Background
I obtained my doctorate in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, and completed by Predoctoral Internship at the The Karen Horney Clinic in New York, NY. I completed my Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Department of Psychiatry at the Children's Hospital of Oakland.
Teaching and Supervision
I am an Adjunct Faculty Member at The Wright Institute in Berkeley as well as the Access Institute and the California Institute for Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco. I have taught child and adult therapy at clinics throughout the Bay Area and lectured at graduate schools and for groups of parents and children and elementary and high schools on topics ranging from grief and loss, depression and anxiety, and psychological obstacles to success. My research experience has also deepened my the quality of my work.
Experience with Minorities My training and experience with individuals from a wide variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds allows me to be of help to you even though we may come from different backgrounds ourselves. I am sensitive to the different life experiences people bring into my office, including those who come from different ethnic, cultural, national and socioeconomic backgrounds. I have particularly extensive experience with clients of African American and Latino descent.

I am
also quite reflective about myself and my work as a psychotherapist and psychologist. I strive to
consistently improve my work through consultation,
ongoing training, research, and self-understanding.
